Most pool table crews turn up at nine in the morning. Here the normal appointment is a weekday evening after five, or a full day at the weekend. That is worth knowing before you book rather than after, because it suits some households very well and others not at all.

It also changes the job in a practical way. A table going into a garage or a basement after dark needs light that the room may not have, and a carry across a driveway at eight in the evening in November is a different proposition from the same carry at eleven in the morning. Where the light is, and whether an outside route is lit at all, is a fair thing to mention when you ask.
